About Us
A little peek into how The Consignment Bar started, where we came from, and the people who made it possible.
My name is Madison Alarcon, but most people call me Maddy, and I’m the owner of The Consignment Bar. I’ve been married to my husband, Easton, since 2019, and we have a precious Aussiedoodle named Dior.
I wanted to create this little page to share how The Consignment Bar started and how we got to where we are today. The store has roots dating all the way back to 1981, when it first began as Barbara’s Resale. My mother-in-law took over the shop in 2016, and I had the opportunity to work alongside her off and on over the years.
In 2022, I was asked if I wanted to take over the store. After some major hesitation, a lot of prayer, and a tiny bit of panic, I said yes. Since then, I’ve learned so much about the consignment business, grown in ways I never expected, and developed an even bigger love for what we do.
After a year in our original building, we quickly outgrew the space, and I decided to take a leap of faith. We moved to Downtown Benton, gave the store a full rebrand, and The Consignment Bar was born.
None of this would be possible without our amazing employees, customers, and consignors. Every item brought in, every purchase made, and every bit of support has helped The Consignment Bar grow into what it is today.
Today, TCB is an upscale consignment shop offering carefully selected clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories from brands you love, all at a fraction of the original price. Whether you’re cleaning out your closet or shopping for your next favorite find, we’re so happy you’re here.
